Suzannah B. Troy Spoke to Honorable Milton Mollen Re: A New Investigative Commission in to The NYPD
I want to cry. I just spoke with the Honorable Milton Mollen of the Mollen Commission.
Only in NYC -- this magical city can you speak to someone like Judge Mollen -- kind of when I was a teenage basketball star -- it would have been like me picking up the phone and calling Dr. J. (Julius Irving -- when I was a little girl I wanted to be him - puberty a shocker.)
I spoke with the Honorable Milton Mollen and pointed out the Knapp and the Mollen where twenty years apart and we are just about due although this Commission into th NYPD would be different than the previous commissions.
I said yes we still have corruption, NYPD officers -- 3 trials in the Bronx right now which I summed up for him, and besides manslaughters, rapes, gun trafficking, drug trafficking, we also have Stop and Frisk, the most mass arrests ever and mostly all false Occupy Wall Street and the Republican Convention as well as the Adrian Schoolcraft trial. I told the Honorable Judge about Adrian Schoolcraft recorded audios which are an indictment of the NYPD fixing crime...
I told Judge Mollen the NYPD stats are like a Casino in Las Vegas, a numbers game, the fix is in.
I said after the Adrian Schoolcraft trial we will get our commission.
The Honorable Milton Mollen kindly and wisely told me the only way I can get a Commission is for the mayor to call for a commission.
I made an emotional typo as usual...I said Kelly, oops I meant Bloomberg will never allow that.
The Honorable Judge Milton was appointed by the than mayor so after speaking with him I learned a very powerful piece of the puzzle.
You know I can't spell, don't know grammar, I am above average intelligence but for me this was such a powerful experience -- such an education and NYC magical moment like when I called Ron Kuby and I needed his help and Kuby helped me or when I contacted Norman Siegel about the legalities of posting my Mayor Bloomberg King of New York Posters and Norman called me back and when through the laws with me.
I just have to pinch myself.
I don't know what you do on a Sunday evening but to call a man responsible for major New York City History that impacted the NYPD and to talk with him is for me very emotional.
Honorable Milton Mollen had a beautiful vibe about him.
What a positive experience What an honor.
