The attached photograph shows that Rudin Management Company is now demolishing the former chapel at St. Vincent's Hospital.
Please meditate or pray, as is your faith custom, for guidance on how to persuade our elected officials to finally set right the misguided and irresponsible Rudin luxury condo conversion of St. Vincent's.

Was out walking with my dog Mr. Butter when I came upon this willful destruction of the St Vincent's Hospital chapel. It was particularly poignant as I thought of how many times this non-believer sat in the chapel while waiting at the height of the AIDS pandemic for a friend or lover to die upstairs. And now .. where so many memories and where I knew I could sickness and in grief is being destroyed so blood condos canb be built for the super rich . Particularly poignant now post -sandy it would have been the only lower west side hospital with a trauma 1 emergency room ab;e to handle a pandemic crisis if it was still standing .. but no the politicians ..particularity Mayor Wannabe, Christine Quinn-Billionsberg and State Senator Tom Duane who represent this District .. stood by and with their silence and lack of political will let this hospital die and this chapel be desecrated, SHAME
